ASR service (0.63.3) crashes on Raspi zero w

Installed Snips according to the docu, installed an assistant and launched sam status:
pi@raspberrypi:~ $ sam status

Connected to device localhost

OS version … Raspbian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch)
Installed assistant … Assi1
Language … en
Hotword … jarvis
ASR engine … snips
Status … Live

Service status:

snips-analytics … (not running)
snips-asr … 0.63.3 (not running)
snips-audio-server … 0.63.3 (running)

snips-nlu … 0.63.3 (running)
snips-skill-server … 0.63.3 (running)

-> ASR is not running.

I launched sam watch, and the system reacted to the hotword:

-> Looks like an ASR issue, and /var/log/syslog keeps filling up with the asr service being killed and restarted.

Any idea where to look first/next?

Tried to launch the asr binary manually, got “illegal instruction” as error which is a bit strange, because all other binaries run fine. Will reinstall the whole machine now…

Complete fresh set up. Only followed the documentation, no additional service or program installed, same result.

Tried to uninstall snips-asr via apt-get, cleared the cache and removed any cached .de package, reinstalled it and got the same error.

Looks like something broadcasted on raspbian.snips.ai is broken or not compatible with my pi zero w

you can’t run the ASR service on a Pi Zero… it is in the docs that it will not work… min is Pi2 and that would be very slow… best min would be Pi 3B+

Yep. Figured it out yesterday evening. Now I am struggling with pi zero as sat and a Rock64 as base…
