No permissions after sam init

#1

Hey,

i did a fresh sam update; sam init; and then sam install of my assistant.

Besides the annoying pip/python3 error, i also cat a “no permission” error:

Checking for actions
Cloning skill fighterii.Philips_Hue_Steuerung from url: https://github.com/fighterii/snips-skill-hue-pro
error: kann '.git/FETCH_HEAD' nicht öffnen: Keine Berechtigung

Error translates to = “cant open .git/FETCH_HEAD: no permission”.

Actually i thought, doing a sam init

Installing Snips Platform components. This may take a few minutes…
√ Updating aptitude repository
√ Installing dirmngr
√ Adding Snips APT source list
√ Adding Snips PGP public key
√ Updating aptitude repository
√ Installing Snips Platform, this could take a while, grab a cup of tea & relax
√ Adding current user to snips-skills-admin group for security
√ Successfully installed the Snips Platform

should be enough to have all the permissions.

I checked the folder skills

/var/lib/snips $ ls -l skills
drwxr-xr-x 5 pi pi 4096 Dez 24 14:31 snips-app-say-it-again
drwxr-xr-x 4 pi pi 4096 Dez 24 14:32 Snips-DatumUhrzeit
drwxr-xr-x 6 pi pi 4096 Dez 23 18:02 snips-skill-hue-pro

=> owner + group is pi. (same for the .git dir within the skills folder) Is there a problem?

Just notice your issue.

Yes it is!

It should not be pi pi but _snips-skills:_snips-skills

There was a bug creating this issue, it must be fixed now.

[Edit] Fixed the typo, thanks @thomas

Hi,

The user should not be pi:pi, not _snips_skills:_snips_skills but _snips-skills:_snips-skills.

In the skills folder, run the following command:

sudo chown -R _snips-skills:_snips-skills /var/lib/snips/skills
